Singularity & LOST Connection?
Forum member digit0r has made an interesting discovery in the latest Singularity Trailer.
Those of you who watch LOST will know the series of numbers that have appeared in various locations (4 8 15 16 23 42). At about 1.00 in the trailer, if you look to left you'll see some red containers with these exact numbers of them!! Click below to see the image.
Gamespot have posted a first-look preview of Singularity and a new Q&A video with Raven Software. Some of the new information includes the "chrono-light". This just isn't any flashlight - when pointed at objects, it can show them as they appeared in the past..."we watched producers use the chrono-light on a wall, which, when illuminated, revealed a written message that might serve as a clue to continue your quest or might fill in a gap in the game's storyline".
You'll also be able to revive dead non-player characters for a short period of time with the TMD. This may be useful if you need to extract some information from them.
The previews keep rolling in - this time another one by IGN. This preview features quite a bit of new information including details of the barnacle like life forms we've been seeing in the screenshots. These are are living proximity mines and are called 'Phase Ticks'. "Walk too close to one and they'll spray you with a sort of time-travelling venom that turns a healthy person into a wrinkly, mutated corpse".
Another cool thing IGN discusses are the "echo events" (ghosts). You'll see these throughout the game and are glimpses into past events. "In one corridor you'll see a translucent person screaming as he claws at the floor while being dragged to his death and around the next corner there'll be an echo ghost hammering at a locked door, demanding to be freed.

1UP.com has posted a new Singularity preview, with a heap of new screenshots also! While there isn't any too new, one particularly interesting thing they talk about is the time bubble. You can create a bubble shield that freezes time within it..."You can use it as cover, or toss an explosive into it and then shut down the shield when enemies are nearby, effectively creating a remote mine. In some cases, you can even bring enemies back from the dead to attack everything around them and do some of your work for you."
