Interview with Jon Zuk
Gamerstek have posted a new interview with Jon Zuk, Creative Director of Singularity. There are a couple of interesting points
1) Zuk clears up any confusion relating to the time travel. "You don’t actually control time in Singularity. You can control the age of individual objects but cannot voluntarily send yourself through time or anything like that."
2) When asked whether there will be a demo, the response is "Likely" :)
We've had a number of emails from people asking when Singularity is going to be released. The only official date we've been told so far is Fall this year. The interesting thing is that both Play.com & Amazon have released dates on their pre-order pages.
These dates are certainly way off from each other. Of course we will only confirm the actual date once we hear it from Raven/Activision. When you do you think Singularity will be released? Let us know in the forums.
X-Play Video Preview
X-Play have posted a new a Singularity Preview video with game producer, Kekoa Lee-Creel. While there isn't any new info, there is quite a bit of gameplay footage shown. View below:
Gametrailers.com have posted two new Singularity videos taken at D.I.C.E. The first is a Story Interview with game producer Kekoa Lee-Creel. In addition there is quite a bit of new game play footage.
The second video covers the time manipulation with the Creative Director, Brian Raffel. He gives some interesting examples of how it can used in the game. For example, if you find an old crate you can bring it back to when it was full of ammunition. He also confirms that the TMD will be in multiplayer which is certainly going to create some exceptional (yet challenging!) game play.
The official Singularity website has launched! The new site features screenshots, the latest trailer (that was released a few days ago) and the game back story (Analysis on this coming later). There is still plenty more coming with many sections not live yet - so keep an eye out!
The new site also confirms that the game is coming in Fall '09 meaning it will be released sometime between September and November.
